About Me

I’ve worn lots of hats over many years. I’ve studied classical music and history. I worked in public libraries for ten years. I wrote book reviews for The Ranting Dragon for several years, then ran The Speculative Post for several more. I’ve organized and DJed for social dance communities in two different states. But always present was my love of writing and of speculative and fantastic fictions.

In 2017 I decided to get serious about this writing thing, first taking online classes and then attending the Odyssey Writing Workshop in 2018. I am serving as the Literature Track Head for Penguicon 2020 in Southfield, MI.

I currently live in Greater Chicago with my husband, our two cats, and two dogs.
